At the edge of a battlefield, where soldiers from the Revolutionary War and Civil War fell, a butterfly holds on in the wind. It’s a simple little capture, but it helps me appreciate this difficult human intersection. It is a symbol of beauty defiantly, stubbornly taking hold. The ugliness of two wars can’t hold it back. Whatever battles you may be facing, I encourage you to look for the beauty around you today. It can be as simple as a butterfly, holding onto a thistle in the wind, at the edge of an old battlefield. Have an outstanding day!
